Amy Schumer is a totally groundbreaking female comedienne is famous for her candor professionally and personally. She has maintained strength during times when the media has attacked her for her jokes, and her appearance. Just this week she faced accusations that she was pregnant with her first child with husband Chris Fischer after posting a picture on Instagram. There is no baby, and Amy, as usual, was strong, loud, and spoke her mind to defend herself against the rumors. Amy seems to never take a break these days and she is about to release a new comedy entitled “I Feel Pretty” which is expected to rock. Just this week she and Busy Phillips looked amazing wearing body inclusive designers at the premiere of the film. She refused to be retouched in the film and stated, “You see my cellulite. You see my, my rolls, whatever. … It’s like, I feel great.” We love Amy because she maintains a body positive image of herself, and is an inspiration for all people, especially women:
She Watched Her Early Stand-Up Performances At Best Buy
Well played, Amy! She capitalized on the giant free TVs at Best Buy to watch her first stand-up show. She reviewed tapes of her first set at the Gotham Comedy Club and subsequent performances while taking notes. She said she wasn’t able to afford a fancy TV back then, so she watched herself on the big screens at Best Buy! She stated she was ashamed of her first performances, and this was how she improved to become the comedic legend she is today.
She’s Faced Joke Stealing Accusations
Amy Schumer was accused of stealing jokes back in 2016. She was accused by a number of comedians including Wendy Liebman, Tammy Pescatelli, Kathleen Madigan and Patrice O’Neal. Amy has repeatedly denied these allegations, and some comedians including Dave Rubin and Marc Maron publically defended her.
