French actress Catherine Deneuve’s international breakthrough came when she appeared in Les Parapluies de Cherbourg. After that, she starred in Roman Polanski’s Repulsion. She went on to accumulate impressive acting credits. In 1985, she became the official face of the French personification of liberty – Marianne. She recently made headlines after signing an open letter which is against the #MeToo movement (She considers the movement a witch hunt).
