She got to talk about her experience with bullying in a clip for a Quebec-based charity called Fondation Jasmin Roy. In the video, she talked in French to discuss what it was like for her. Dion said, “Because I myself was a victim of bullying at school, I can understand the distress that young people go through.”

Turn For The Worse
Her career had been going well, but things took a turn for the worse in 2016. Her husband Rene Angelil passed away from cancer complications on January 14. This was already hard enough to deal with, but her brother Daniel also died after his own battle with the same disease. It goes without saying that this was a very hard time for her.
