They Have Filed Many Lawsuits In The Past
Over the years, the Hells Angels have become less of a club of guys passionate about motorcycles and more of a corporation of sorts. The members have been involved in a fair amount of legal battles. In 2007, the club sued Disney for the use of their logo in a film called Wild Hogs without asking for permission. On top of that, they also sued Alexander McQueen for misusing the trademark symbol with the winged death head in 2010.
Taking Their Branding Seriously
They also sued Zappos.com and Saks Fifth in the same year for similar reasons. Toys ‘R’ Us was sued by the club in 2012 for selling yo-yos with their death head logo on them. The truth is that these are just a few of the most well-known lawsuits they’ve filed over the years. As you can see, the club is serious about its branding.
