Tony Angelotti Almost Died While Filming Pirates of the Caribbean
Stunt doubles know that their job is dangerous. When something goes wrong in the set, they usually don’t sue as it can affect their future work offers. However, it seems that Tony Angelotti, Johnny Depp’s double in the Pirates of the Caribbean, simply had to do it. After all, he almost died during filming.
During a practice stunt for the “human yo-yo” scene, Angelotti ended up in the hospital with some serious injuries. The incident is said to have been a result of negligence in the part of the production crew.
