Sir Elton John and his partner, former ad executive David Furnish, began dating back in 1993 and entered into a civil partnership 12 years later. After England passed the Civil Partnership Act on December 21, 2005, the couple were among the first to form such a union. There are two children for the gay couple, Elijah and Zachary, both of whom they had through the same surrogate mom. The couple is also working together to raise funds for the John’s AIDS Foundation. Elton John had an estimated $500 million worth in 2019, and through his combined business ventures, including his chain of second-hand clothing shops called Elton’s Closet, he still rakes in more.
