According to Jonna, one of the best parts about the Amish culture is the children. Since they are instilled with Amish values, this means ‘they won’t be disrespectful, they’re helpful, they work hard’. In fact, Jonna even gives kudos to them for being ‘more responsible than 85% of adults I encounter every day’. Well that’s another reason to love their culture!

They Don’t Have Health Insurance
While the Amish do believe in phones, it seems they don’t believe in the concept of health insurance. As part of their charity orientated culture, this means that if a member of the ‘church has hospital bills piling up, cancer, etc, it gets paid out of pocket.’ This means that the members of their church community and other communities all contribute to the bill. Their community spirit is actually quite enviable.
