In the NHL, Brent Burns has proven his worth as the alternate captain and defenseman of the San Jose Sharks. He launched his pro hockey career in 2003. Six years after that, he tied the knot with Susan Holder, his long-term girlfriend. She graduated from Sam Houston State University and used to work at eBay. They now live in the San Jose area, and she goes to all of his games. In 2010, she gave birth to Peyton Gabriann Patrick, their first child. He was followed by another boy, Jagger Stephen Patrick, in 2011. Seven years after that, the family expanded its size once more with the birth of a baby girl.
