Humble Beginnings
In 1953, Pierce Brosnan was born in Ireland to a humble life. His father supported his family as a carpenter, but he left the family while Pierce was still an infant. His mother began to work as a nurse to support the family, and Pierce was mostly raised by his grandparents. Later on, his mother moved to London to get a higher paying job, but this meant she only saw Pierce a couple times a year. His mother got married, and then they were reunited in one household. It was his stepfather who took him to his first James Bond Film.

Pierce met his first wife, Cassandra Harris in 1977. They married in 1980 and Pierce adopted Cassandra’s children from a previous marriage after their biological father passed away in 1986.
