A Good Reason
Despite the fact that all the Robertson men have long, bushy beards, Jase’s beard is a bit more special than the others. This may be one of the reasons why many of their fans and relatives were surprised when he finally decided to bid his facial hair goodbye. What’s great about his decision was that he chose to do it for an incredible reason that was very close to his heart.

His daughter, Mia, was born with a cleft lip and palate. This is a condition that naturally happens when the baby’s top lip doesn’t form normally while it is still inside the mother’s womb and the skull doesn’t get attached to the top of the mouth correctly. Fortunately, this is not a serious condition and can be treated easily with a surgical procedure. However, this might cause the child to have some speech difficulties as he or she grows up.
