The trio saw a big sign for the fast-track line. Since they had normal tickets, they thought the flight was boarding fast passes first. And so, they waited. At 7:05 am, the board said that the gate closed at 7 am. Wait, what?

The family was sure that the flight was simply running behind schedule. A minute later, once all the lines were through the gate, the family went to the help desk to get an update. “As we got there, the doors were closing,” Mr. Gray said. “The women at the desk said we’d missed our flight.”
