Bigger Than The Boat
Imagine that you are spending a peaceful day with your buddies on a fishing trip. The next thing you know, this thing swims up beside your pretty big boat! You are not wearing beer goggles… a blue whale thrice the size of your boat just decided to swim next to you. Apparently, a fully-grown male can reach a length of 29.9 meters and a weight of 330,000 pounds. The marine mammals are the biggest known species! When this happens to you, try to stay on the boat!
Coconut Crabs And A Dog
The coconut crab, also called the palm thief or robber crab, is a species of terrestrial hermit crabs. This is pretty ironic when you consider that a hermit crab can fit in your hand! On the other hand, this creature can weigh as much as 9 pounds and reach a length of a little over 3 feet from one leg to another. This is as long as the yardstick used by your math teacher! Luckily, the creatures are not found in heavily populated areas.
