How wonderful! It is simply a musical film where the greatest point of the movies happens when the name of the state is spelled out. Of course, its Oklahoma! This is evidently our number one choice for the Oklahoma-set. “Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful film”.  And the Oklahoma runner-ups include, Twister, The Outsiders, Francis Ford Coppola’s teen classic; CimarronWhere the Red Fern Grows (1974).

Jack Nicholson’s character in The Shining surely belongs in a mental institution.  The Oregon-set film One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest is a fierce, humor film where we for sure believe that nobody should be part of the Oregon hospital. Nurse Ratched (Louise Fletcher) will give you the chills. We won’t leave you with showing the Oregon runner-ups: 1980s family films The Goonies and Short CircuitStand By Me and The Edge of Seventeen, Gus Van Sant’s Drugstore Cowboy and Elephant, and attention-seeker Mr. Holland’s Opus and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
