The Drums
The Carpenter family relocated from Connecticut to California in the year 1963. Richard enrolled at California State College at Long Beach and Karen enrolled at Downey High School. Richard was able to hone his musical skills, while Karen learned the drums. The siblings were able to play alongside each other during a production of “Guys and Dolls”.
