We doubt that you would be surprised to know that Tom Selleck has earned a star of his own on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It was dedicated to him in 1986. It’s extremely difficult to imagine someone else playing the main character in Magnum, P.I. However, that was almost what happened. The producers initially wanted TV star Kevin Dobson. It’s a good thing he would eventually turn it down. That was actually Selleck was able to get his hands on the role!
