Frida Lyngstad always believed that her father died when his ship sunk – that is what everyone told her. In 1977 the truth came to her, and it said that her father was still alive.

Frida recalls, “It would have been different if I’d been a child. But it’s difficult to get a father when you’re 32 years old. I can’t really connect to him and love him the way I would have if he’d been around when I grew up.”
