Sometimes, it just takes a few words for a message to hit home. For Matt, spending even one more second in the office was something he could not bear anymore. After working so hard with such little reward, Matt has decided that enough is enough. This made his resignation letter really easy to write and as a matter of fact, it just took a trip to the bathroom, a magic marker, and two paper towels to express his intent to leave.

Passive aggression can sometimes be a cathartic way to get rid of some longstanding frustrations. Writing a letter of resignation is a great opportunity to express passive aggression, and this employee probably knows it. In his resignation letter, he made it quite clear that the problem was not him. He was working 47.5 hours a week without overtime pay and he did not get compassion from the company after he lost a loved one.
