At the Store
Karen was approaching the due date, but she did not think she would give birth to her second kid on October 5. Instead, she and her son Tarek decided to go to the grocery store to run errands. He was 10 years old, and the journey to the store seemed just fine. However, Karen could tell that something was not right about halfway into her shopping trip. She started to suffer contractions that told her she was about to welcome her new child into the world.
At the Store
Too Intense
Instead of experiencing small contractions that started far apart, she got intense and fast ones. This is not what most labors are like. Her contractions had been so severe that she could barely walk back to the car. She even fell over from the pain she was feeling! She hoped it would happen slowly, so she simply paid for the groceries as quickly as possible and then return home. She and Tarek rushed to the vehicle and drove to Poe Place.
